The Mobile Check Deposit feature allows you to deposit a check without a trip to the bank or ATM.

Now, you can securely deposit checks whenever you want from almost anywhere just by using your phone's camera. It's that simple.

How it works

To deposit a check with the Mobile Banking App, just:
  1. Open up the App and select “Deposit Checks”.
  2. Take a picture of the front and back of your endorsed check. Images are stored securely at the bank and are not saved directly on your phone.
  3. Select the account to receive the deposit and enter the amount.
  4. Hit submit and you’ll get a confirmation message in seconds.

Funds will typically be available in the account the next business day if deposited prior to cut off time and you'll be notified automatically with an email alert that we’ve received your check deposit.

Hold on to the check for two weeks just in case it’s needed for verification. After that, you should destroy it.


How secure is Mobile Check Deposit?
Mobile Check Deposit offers the same security that you have with Online Banking. For added protection, the images of your checks are stored securely at the bank and not on your mobile phone.

What types of checks are accepted with Mobile Check Deposit?

  • Personal checks
  • Business checks
  • Government/Treasury checks
  • Cashier’s checks

Checks must be from a U.S. institution and in U.S. dollars.

When will my funds be available?
Deposits are subject to verification and funds may not be available immediately. Once the deposit has been received, you'll be able to view the pending transaction online or on your phone. Checks received by the applicable cut off time on a business day are usually available in your account the next business day.

What happens if there is an issue with the deposit?
Once you've made your deposit, you'll get an email confirmation that we've received your deposit and are processing it. If there is any problem with the transaction, like insufficient funds or potential fraud, you'll receive a letter in the mail asking you to bring the check to a banking center to resolve the issue.

What are my Monthly Check Deposit limits?
There is a monthly limit for Mobile Check Deposits and it’s displayed when you select your deposit account. Once you’ve hit that limit, you can’t deposit another check with the App until the limit is reset at the beginning of the next month.

What time do I need to deposit my check in order for it to be available the next day?
The cut-off time for Mobile Check Deposits are based off of the time zone in which the account was opened. Checks received by the following cut off times on a business day are considered deposited on that day.

Eastern and Central: 9 P.M. Eastern time
Mountain and Pacific: 8 P.M. Pacific time

Are there any fees?
There is no fee for using Mobile Check Deposit service, but we recommend that you check with your service provider to see if there are any wireless carrier fees.
