Rachel: I grew up in my Nana's kitchen, watching her bake. She would always say, "food is love."
When I opened my first bakery, that was my mantra. But running a business is a lot of work. The inventory, working with vendors, the long hours—it takes a toll. So I started using Account Management from Bank of America.
I want to be in my kitchen, not in an office. And that's what Account Management helps me do. It's the perfect recipe of control and flexibility.
Now I can jump right into QuickBooks® from my bank account and I can give my accountant Dan access to any account he needs.
First I log in to my account. Then I click on the Business Services tab and select Add New User under Account Management. The User Management screen displays and I can add multiple users and provide them with access to my account.
To add a new user, I click Add New User and create a unique online ID and password for each user. To save time, I can copy the account access of another user or delegate access to my accounts on a later screen. I can also make a user an administrator or increase the security of my accounts by adding SafePass.
As the business owner, I can set several General Services settings, such as Full Access BillPay, Payroll Services, and Express Invoicing. These options allow the user I add to perform the functions listed on my behalf.
Now I select the accounts I want to give the new user access to. Turning the account "on" gives the user the ability to view balances and account activity, and additional access can be granted by selecting the transactional settings below.
Once I've added the New User, I click "Finish."
With these simple steps, I can add and grant a new user with customized rights to my accounts.
And it's easy to manage user accounts, too. Let's talk about that next.
It's easy to access and edit information about my authorized users. I just click on the Business Services tab and the Overview screen will display with a list of all the users that have access to my business accounts.
To change an authorized user's status and information, I click View/Edit and the User Profile page will appear. From this page, I can make changes to User Information; including User's Full Name, Online ID and Passcode. I can also remove a user's administrator rights or edit the SafePass settings for the user. And if I want to change access to Accounts or Services for a user, I click "Continue to Accounts and Services" at the bottom of the page.
Now I can edit access to accounts and services for the user. And once I have completed the update, I click Finish.
If I want to delete a user account, that's easy. From the User Profile screen I click Delete. Then I am directed to the Delete User screen. I confirm that I intend to delete this user by clicking Continue.
And that's how simple it is to Manage Users. But I can also link all of my Bank of America Business and Personal accounts into one profile. And that makes it easy to manage my finances.
With Account Management, I can link all of my eligible Bank of America Business and Personal accounts into one profile. This is especially helpful for me since I own more than one business. Now I can view my separate business accounts and transfer funds between business entities with one sign in.
Once I've linked my accounts I can view accounts for my separate businesses, all at a glance. With a single sign-in I can consolidate my eligible personal and business accounts and split business and personal accounts in distinct sections on the same page for easy viewing.
Plus, I can use QuickBooks® to download my account activity, make payments, and transfer funds. And that saves me time and reduces the possibility of error.
With Account Management, viewing all my accounts is just one click away.
