Justin: I've owned this shop for 14 years. I started surfing when I was 11 and just never stopped.

So I turned my passion into my career. And during tourist season, I'm open 15 hours a day and have 6 full-time employees.

When it came to paying them, I needed a simple, do-it-yourself solution. That's why I use Intuit® Online Payroll through a partnership with Bank of America.

Everything is done securely online. And once I sign in to Small Business Online Banking, I have access to all my tools and accounts. Then I go to payroll and enter the correct numbers and the calculations are done for me.

Setting up Intuit® Online Payroll is easy. When I sign up for Payroll from Small Business Online Banking, I'm asked which level of payroll service I want – online payroll, or full service. Then I'm taken to the Intuit® site, where I begin to set up my account.

Now I set up my company and employees.

To set up an account I follow the screen prompts and enter my business name, address, email and contact information. Then I set up my employees in the system by entering their contact information, pay, additions and deductions, vacation and sick time.

A status bar shows me an overview of my progress for each employee. After setup, I can ask my employees if they want direct deposit. If they do, they send me their checking account information and authorization.

Now let's talk about paying employees. I can transfer money to payroll in three easy steps, right from Small Business Online Banking.

On payday, I get an email reminder so I never forget to do payroll. I like reminders. Plus I can access my account anywhere I have an Internet connection. And I can pay my employees as many times as I want within a month at no additional charge.

My payday screen lists my employees and their pay types. I just enter the hours for hourly employees and any special pay like Overtime or Vacation. Then I look at the paycheck calculation summary in the Approve Paychecks section. If the amounts are right, I click the Approve button.

Best of all, I have four ways to pay my employees: Direct Deposit to a Bank of America account, Direct Deposit to a bank other than Bank of America, computer printed paychecks or handwritten paychecks and printed pay stubs.

My employees can also view and print their pay stubs online through a secure employee website, making paydays entirely paperless. I like that.

We all have to pay taxes, including payroll tax. But the good news is that Intuit® Online Payroll makes it easy and worry-free with email reminders.

Intuit® Online Payroll automatically fills out my business federal tax forms, saving me hours of time and hassle. And I can review details anytime and print paper copies for my files. I just click Submit to file electronically and I'm done.

Year-end W-2 forms used to be a lot of work. But not anymore. Intuit® Online Payroll creates W-2s for all my employees and I can print them and hand them out. And just like my other federal tax forms, Intuit® Online Payroll files my W-2s electronically with the Social Security Administration.

I can also use Intuit® Online Payroll to prepare 1099 miscellaneous forms for all my independent contractors. I just print forms and hand them out to my contractors at year-end.

Paying taxes on time can be a real headache. But with Intuit® Online Payroll, I'll never miss a deadline again.

Now I get an email reminder and a To Do list item that tells me when it's time to pay taxes. And Intuit® Online Payroll tells me exactly how much I owe and lets me pay my federal taxes from my Payroll account.

I just click Approve Payment and I'm done. The funds are transmitted from my bank account to the IRS. So there's no need for federal payment coupons, trips to the bank or mailing a payment. Plus, I get to hold on to my money until the tax payment is due.

Running reports can be really helpful. And once again, Intuit® Online Payroll makes it simple.

When I want to run a report, Intuit® Online Payroll is there with real-time employee and company information. Now I can view details for individual employees or for my whole company whenever I want.

And when I need a Tax Liability Report, I pick any date range and drill down to see the details behind the numbers. The reports are easy to read and can be exported to Microsoft® Excel with the click of a button.

Another way I can save time? I use simple integration with programs like QuickBooks®. Every time I run a payroll or make a tax payment, I can export the information to my accounting software using the link provided.

Intuit® Online Payroll is a product of Intuit Inc., which offers 2 self-service levels, Basic and Enhanced. Basic supports direct deposit.  Enhanced service provides state and multi-state tax service and supports direct deposit.  You must have an open Bank of America business checking account to be eligible to access the Intuit Payroll Service from Bank of America Online Banking.  The maximum number of active employees (including contractors only for Enhanced) being paid cannot exceed 150.

Monthly fees: Basic service is $20 per month and Enhanced service is $36 per month. Additional multi-state payroll processing fees ($12 per state per month) will apply for every state in which you have employees or contractors other than your primary business state location.

Intuit guarantees the accuracy of its payroll calculations, based on the information you provide and subject to the terms of your agreement with Intuit. If Intuit causes a calculation error, Intuit will pay the tax penalty incurred as a result of a calculation error.
